It's been a busy week for the lightweight fighter Diego Sanchez. Shortly after the announcement of his contract renewal with the UFC for another eight fights, the North American organization made his next commitment inside the octagon official.

It will be at UFC 171, on March 15, in Dallas, Texas (United States). His opponent will be the promising Myles Jury, 25 years old, undefeated in his professional MMA career. In his fights in the organization, he beat Chris Saunders, Michael Johnson, Ramsey Nijem and Mike Ricci.

Sanchez, 31 years old, is one of the symbols of the UFC's rise in the United States. He was the champion of the first season of reality show The Ultimate Fighter, competing in the middleweight category. Since then, Sanchez has dropped in weight and even challenged for the lightweight belt, being defeated by B.J. Penn.

Even though the UFC is going through a period of inconsistency, alternating victories and defeats, “The Dream”, as he is known, is one of the organization's leadership's favorite fighters. His aggressive style has already earned him the “Fight of the Night” award on seven occasions.

The main fight of UFC 171 will be a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and the challenger Glover Teixeira.
