Michael Bisping believes he will be able to compete again in the UFC in the first half of 2014. The Englishman was scheduled to face Mark Muñoz in Manchester in October, but had to withdraw from the fight due to a detached retina in his right eye.

Still in the recovery phase, Bisping stated that he has already returned to training. “I'm back to training. But I'm not doing sparring, at the moment I’m just using the punching bag”, he detailed. “The eye will heal and I’ve already spoken to Dana White and asked him to book me a fight in March or April.”

Even though he is still unable to fight, the fighter has already set ambitious goals for his return. “I will win the middleweight title in 2014,” he said.

In 2013, Bisping had two fights in the UFC: he lost to Vitor belfort, in São Paulo, and won Alan belcher, in New Jersey.
