Less than a month after finishing Jordan Leavitt No. UFC London, in July, Paddy Pimblett drew attention when it appeared on the UFC San Diego, last Saturday (13), with a more “chubby” shape. Constantly criticized for his eating habits and weight gain between fights, the Brit revealed, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”, that he weighed around 90kg, almost 20kg above the limit for the lightweight division (up to 70,3, XNUMXkg).

“I weigh almost 90kg. When I'm a little older and start facing ranked opponents, I'll keep my weight down. For now, I’m going to enjoy it and put on a little weight”, said the Brit.
With three wins in three fights in the UFC, Paddy Pimblett was recently challenged by another lightweight division prospect: terrance mckinney, who has won three of his last four fights in the Octagon. Regarding the challenge, the Brit admitted that he hoped to cross paths with the North American at another stage in their careers, but he did not close the door on a duel soon.
“Everyone wants to face me. He has less than 100k followers and I'm at 1,8 million or something. That's why they want to face me. Plus, I'm not a very scary guy. I'm not so intimidated. People think they can beat me, but when they enter the Octagon with me, they can't solve the puzzle. Terrance (McKinney) and I spoke in the past and said we would probably face each other in a few years in a main event at a big event. Obviously he saw how I exploded and wants to jump the queue and face me now. I don't mind. I fight anyone. Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks, with some results between lightweights and we’ll see what happens,” said Pimblett.
Lastly, Paddy Pimblett assured that he wants to return to the UFC Octagon in 2022, more precisely in UFC 282, on December 10th.
“I think I'll fight in Vegas. That's what I hope. I saw the card being planned for December 10th”, he concluded.
