The Rio de Janeiro Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FJJD-Rio) announces some news for the Rio 2009 Circuit, which has the first stage scheduled for March 21st and 22nd. After signing a partnership with the Thor and Pro Fight kimono brands for all stages of the ranking, the athletes will benefit from the prizes.
“The best black belt of the year (the one who scores the most) will win a ticket to the IBJJF World Championship in the United States, as it is the main competition in the sport. Furthermore, the best brown belt will sign a one-year contract with Thor, in which they will receive kimonos and a scholarship of R$200 per month. In the purple belt the same thing, but with a scholarship of R$150, and in the blue belt with a scholarship of R$100”, said the president of the entity, Rogério Gavazza, who remembers that to compete for the prizes you must participate in all stages of the Circuit.
