Fabricio Werdum does not hide his confidence in becoming the new UFC heavyweight champion. Chosen as Cain Velasquez's next challenger, the athlete from Rio Grande do Sul guarantees that the current belt owner's game fits his style. But to beat the American of Mexican descent, the Brazilian promises a surprise to his rival.
“The game suits me, I like this hand-to-hand game. I'm going to have to surprise the world once again, suddenly a knockout, suddenly I can take him down, who said I wouldn't? Few have the confidence to make a guard. If Cain takes me down and I have to guard, I'll be confident. But what if I apply a takedown and he ends up on the bottom? I'm sure he'll turn his back on me. He won’t want to guard, he’ll want to get up,” said Werdum, on the ESPN website.
The fight between Cain Velazquez e Fabricio Werdum There is no official date yet, but it should be made official in the first half of 2014. The champion is still recovering from a shoulder injury, suffered during his fight against another Brazilian junior gypsy, at UFC 166, in October.

Good morning guys!
I don't know... I don't see the possibility of Werdum knocking out Velasquez! Maybe the Brazilian fighter will even win because he's in a very good moment, maybe he'll finish, but I don't know about the knockout... Not to mention that I would set an 80 x 20 favoritism for the champion.
