In search of finding its best moment, Thiago Silva, who was already undefeated and very close to a title fight, returns to the octagon in January. The Ultimate organization announced that the Brazilian will face the North American/Haitian Ovince St Preux at UFC Fight Night 35.
At 31 years of age, Thiago Silva has a record of 16 wins, three losses and two fights without results – both were originally victories, but were reversed after anti-doping tests revealed the use of marijuana. Thiago's opponent, Ovince St Preux has a record of 14 wins and five losses. St. Preux has won three consecutive victories, the last two as an Ultimate athlete.
UFC Fight Night 35 takes place on January 15, 2014, in Duluth, in the metropolitan area of Atlanta (USA). In the main fight of the night, the former middleweight champion of the now defunct Strikeforce Luke Rockhold faces Costa Philippou, seeking to rehabilitate himself after the defeat to Vitor belfort in his Ultimate debut.
