In early March, the two had the chance to resolve their differences in the main fight of the UFC 272, dominated and won by Covington in a unanimous decision by the judges. Weeks after the confrontation, Masvidal attacked Covington outside a restaurant in Miami, causing serious injuries to his rival. The case remains in court.
