Willing to return to the path of victories, Thiago Marreta face the promise Jamahal hill in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 59, an event that takes place next Saturday (6). In an interview with the SUPER FIGHTS no 'YouTube', the Brazilian wants to make the most of his experience and revealed that he had the best period of training since the challenge Jon Jones for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.).

“Preparation in full swing. Final stretch now. I had an excellent camp. It was the best since my fight with Jones. I feel well prepared for the fight. (…) Of course, a fight is a fight and I cannot waver. He's a guy who has a heavy hand, is long and has a good wingspan. I can't blink. In our division, one coup can change everything. But I see myself, technically, as being better and more experienced than him,” said Marreta.
It does not stop there. The Brazilian declared that he expects 'pressure' from Jamahal at the start of the fight, but says he can knock him out in two rounds or dominate him for 25 minutes.
“He will come forward, try to put pressure on from the start and, then, he will end up giving me some gaps that I will capitalize on. If I don't finish the fight by the second round, he will suffer for five rounds. I can say that”, added the former title challenger.
Without paying attention to critics…
With just one victory in the last five fights, Thiago Marreta ensures that he does not feel pressured nor does he allow himself to be put down by comments from haters on the social networks.
“I don’t listen to what others say, only those who are close to me. I'm sure they will be sincere, they will tell the truth and without putting their hands on their heads. But they won't be saying something to put me down, which many people – especially on the internet – say. My experience, from many years of fighting, made me deal with this. Criticism doesn't put me down, just as praise doesn't put me in heaven. I always try to do my job and don’t let myself get discouraged”, he concluded.
