After another request for Chris Cyborg for a rematch against Amanda nunes, UFC president Dana White quickly put an end to the idea of the Bellator featherweight (up to 65,7kg) champion. In an interview after the last edition of the 'Contender Series', which took place last Tuesday (2), the president praised the MMA veteran but ruled out the possibility of a second fight with the 'Lione' taking place.

“Amanda completely dominated Cyborg. The fight with Shevchenko makes a lot more sense, and I'm not just dissing Cyborg because we have a history. To be honest with you, I normally don't talk about this s*** publicly. But she texted me and wished me a happy birthday. It's not like Cyborg and I hate each other and I'm not trying to belittle her or be cruel to her. I wish her the best in whatever she is doing. It was nice of her to send me a birthday message. So I just wanted to reiterate that I'm not talking bad about her,” Dana said.
The first duel between Amanda and Cyborg took place at UFC 232, in December 2018. At the time, the veteran was the UFC featherweight champion and was challenged by the Brazilian, leader of the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg). When the fight started, the 'Lione' took no notice of Cris, knocked out the female MMA legend in just 51 seconds and became the first woman with two belts in the history of the organization chaired by Dana White.
