Back in the octagon after almost a year of inactivity, Alexandre pantoja put on a real show UFC 277, held this Saturday (30), in Dallas (USA). Standing out in the flyweight category (up to 56,7kg), the Brazilian was not aware of Alex Perez and ‘walked’ against the opponent. In jiu-jitsu', the Tupiniquim needed just over a minute to lock in a rear-naked choke and force his opponent to tap out.

With the victory, Pantoja gets closer to his dream and unprecedented title fight in Ultimate. The triumph over Alex expanded the flyweight's great momentum, which now has three positive results in a row.

A victim of Alexandre, Perez ended up suffering his second defeat in a row. This weekend, the former challenger returned to the octagon almost two years after his last commitment, when he was defeated by Deiveson Figueiredo in confrontation for the group's throne.

In an interview in the octagon, Pantoja did not hide what he hopes for his continuation in the organization. Loudly, the number four in the ranking asked to face the champion.

“I will be champion and I will defend the title as many times as necessary”, shouted the Brazilian.

The fight

The confrontation began with the athletes going all or nothing, with a frank exchange. In the opening seconds, Pantoja managed to get to his opponent's back and was looking for a submission. ‘Backpacking’ on his rival, Perez protected himself, but the Brazilian continued to insist on a quick outcome. Alexandre was aggressive and managed to secure a choke. With no chance, Alex gave up.
