“The moment Dana White puts the belt around my waist, I will feel like a true world champion. I'm doing everything right, making the decisions that need to be made, the sacrifice, eating right, and for that I will feel like the world champion. I don't know how I'm going to win the fight, but I'm going to show the world what I can do, because I can finish the fight on the ground or standing up. The only certainty is that I will eat pizza with my belt, as if the belt were a dish,” said Moreno.

After three consecutive duels against Deiveson Figueiredo, Brandon Moreno celebrated the opportunity to measure forces against a 'new face' and praised his rival from UFC 277.

“It’s a relief because, even though it’s a rematch against Kai Kara France, after fighting the same guy three times, it's great to have a new face and a new fight plan. He knew he would face Kara-France in the future. In 2019 we were young, starting our careers, and he has improved a lot in the last two years. It will be an interesting fight. I hope he comes with more confidence and more experience, because his style matches mine well. We both try to finish our fights, we like to exchange blows standing up and we are looking for the knockout all the time. We start and end the same way, so I need to be smart but not cautious. The same Brandon Moreno that everyone knows will be there”, said the Mexican fighter.

Former flyweight champion, Moreno was defeated by Deiveson Figueiredo last January, in the unanimous decision of the judges. Hired by the UFC in 2019, the Mexican athlete has a record of 19 triumphs, six setbacks and two draws as a professional.
