Pettis suffers injury and does not defend title against Josh Thomson in December

Duel would be the attraction of UFC on FOX 9; Rematch between Johnson and Benavidez, for the flyweight title, has been moved to the card

The first lightweight belt defense by Anthony Pettis is postponed. In the early hours of this Monday (11), the UFC announced that the 70 kg champion. suffered an injury and is out of the fight against Josh thomson at UFC on FOX 9, an event that takes place on December 14, in Sacramento, in the United States.

With Pettis' injury, Thomson also left the fight program, but another title fight was moved to the show. The flyweights Demetrious Johnson e Joseph Benavidez, who would face each other at the TUF 18 Finale, on November 30th, will now face each other at UFC on FOX 9.
