It was during this season that his life changed completely, with two significant victories in three fights in the UFC, which elevated him to the status of a great Brazilian promise in the bantamweight category (up to 61kg), another first in his career. The fourth appointment would be this Saturday, November 9th, against Johnny Eduardo, at UFC Fight Night 32, in Goiânia, but an injury to his left thumb that was not recovered after his October victory over Ramiro Hernandez took him out of action.

Lucas has already started physiotherapy sessions, which can last up to six weeks. At the end of each week, he will have a consultation to see if the weekly recovery goal has been achieved. Despite the moment being cautious, Lucas is already making plans for 2014, such as another fight in Brazil. If possible on the stage where he achieved his first UFC victory.
