Once again, Testosterone Replacement Treatment is the center of a controversy involving the UFC and again the name of Vitor belfort was the target of criticism. In an interview with the website “Bloody Elbow”, Tim Kennedy, who is taking part in the main fight of UFC Fight For The Troops 06 this Wednesday (3), took a stand against TRT and spoke about Belfort to justify his position.

“I would like to fight against Vitor belfort. But would you like to fight him cleanly? Yes. And that means without steroids and without being in Brazil. He hasn't fought in the United States in four years because of that (TRT). But that’s ok, I can fight in Brazil, where I already asked for a fight against him and was denied”, said Kennedy.

The former US Army soldier described what he considers the manipulation of sports by athletes who use TRT as shameful. “It's shameful to be part of the sport and have athletes who manipulate the system like him. They are mixed martial arts and you must think about integrity, character and everything related to the sport. This is a slap and a spit in the face of all sportsmen and MMA. It's humiliating and shameful. It’s not good for the sport, not for him, not for the championship or for the promotion of the event”, he concluded.

Before thinking about a duel against Belfort, or even provoking the Brazilian and his use of TRT, Tim Kennedy has an appointment scheduled this Wednesday (06). The American faces Rafael “Sapo” Natal in the main fight of UFC Fight For The Troops 3, in Fort Campbell (USA). The event takes place on a United States military base and, in addition to being designed to encourage soldiers, raises funds for the country's armed forces.
