Owner of significant numbers in his career in mixed martial arts, Donald Cerrone has important advice for the new generation of fighters. Retired since the defeat suffered by Jim Miller No. UFC 276, 'Cowboy' pointed out the direction he considers correct for promises to shine in MMA. The statement was made at the press conference moments after leaving the sport, at the age of 39.

“I tell all the guys I train with to face any opponent. Fight, fight, fight. Don't choose confrontations. You can't say you want to be like this and, when the time comes, not be. I grew up fighting. I was the easiest job for my agents,” said 'Cowboy'.

Always willing to be active, Cerrone narrated part of his fight contract process. Thus, the veteran criticizes athletes who are not willing to fight.

“(The agent) just said: 'We have a fight for you next week'. It doesn't matter. I see fighters who want to pick their fights, and it works both ways. If you are resigned to being like this, the opposing team may think: 'this is not a good fight for us. They won't accept it.' It's a dangerous and strange sport now. But, like I said, keep fighting. Be a showman,” he signed off.
