Escalated to face Rafael dos Anjos No. UFC Las Vegas 58 next Saturday (9), Raphael Fiziev He already has his sights set on another lightweight fighter (up to 70,3kg). The fighter, on his official 'Twitter', exchanged barbs with Conor McGregor and, ironically, invited the Irishman to try training with him at his gym.
“Conor, I invite you to Tiger Muay Thai, where we can show you how to throw and defend kicks correctly so you can stop living in a fantasy world where you think it's possible to land an 'axe kick' in this situation,” he said. Fiziev to McGregor.

The comment in question was made in reference to the post from McGregor, who reacted to the kick defenses made by Fiziev in past fights. The Irishman had suggested an 'axe kick' – a Taekwondo technique that involves striking your opponent with your heel. Conor, however, didn't take long to respond and, in addition to asking for respect, stated that Rafael hasn't done anything for the sport yet.
“I’m not disrespecting. I'm telling you, I've faced this defensive habit a lot in my time, where I knew that every high shot I threw was being pulled back and hitting the air. I then started switching to an 'axe kick' and had great success. Thanks for the offer. When I'm in Thailand I will definitely go! Don't disrespect that you haven't done anything significant in this sport yet. Good luck in your next fight”, replied Conor.
Owner of a record of 11 wins and one defeat, Raphael Fiziev was defeated in his Ultimate debut, in 2019, but since then he has scored five consecutive victories, the last over Brad Riddell, in December.
