In MMA, the central referee's mission is to protect the athletes' health, with the aim of trying to reduce damage and stop a fight when he understands that a fighter is already injured and out of action. However, a rare ending marked an event of the 'Octagon 32', held in the United Arab Emirates. Brazilian Geovane Vargas received a brutal kick from opponent Bekzat Almakhan and, even before the stoppage, signaled his withdrawal from the fight.
The incident happened in the third round of the match, when Vargas was already at a technical disadvantage and was unable to impose his pace. Next to the fence, the fighter was moving around the cage and ended up surprised by a right kick from Almakhan to his head.

Before the opponent could 'settle the bill', Geovane asked for a stoppage and was promptly answered by the central referee, who declared the end of the duel and removed his mouthguard.
Geovane Vargas, therefore, debuts with the 'left foot' in the organization. Born in Bodoquena – MS, the fighter has ten triumphs and three setbacks in his career as an MMA professional. Kazakh Almakhan, on the other hand, has won his fourth consecutive victory and has a record of 12 positive results and one negative result in his career.
