After years of challenges, Conor McGregor, Rafael dos Anjos has changed his stance on challenges to the Irish legend. Undefeated since returning to lightweight (up to 70,3kg), the protagonist of UFC Las Vegas 58 stated that he would face the 'Notório', but that the athlete is no longer the main objective of his career. In an interview with 'ESPN', the athlete stated that he is determined to regain the belt in the division he led between 2015 and 2016.
“McGregor is a guy who will give me a good pay, I will make good money. It's the fight everyone is wanting, but I'm not thinking about it. He (Conor) has his date to return, he is coming off a serious injury, his life is already sorted out”, said RDA.

Brazilian icon in Ultimate, Dos Anjos, who came close to sharing the octagon with the Irishman in 2016, but left the commitment due to an injury, has his eyes on the top of the category. For the 37-year-old athlete, the important thing at the moment is to regain the group title.
“I have other priorities now. I want to win on Saturday (9) and fight for the belt. Conor McGregor He's not a guy who's going to give me a pass for the belt. I believe he hasn't won a fight since 2016 or 2017, against (Donald) Cerrone (fight in 2020). (…) My focus is to be a champion. I moved to Brazil to be UFC champion again,” he concluded.
This weekend, Dos Anjos will step into the octagon for his second challenge of the 2022 season. UFC Las Vegas 58, the athlete faces Raphael Fiziev with an eye on a place in the top 5 of the group that has Charles of the Bronx as a major highlight.
