Henry Cejudo questions Sean O'Malley's talent after UFC 276 fight and challenges bantamweight promise

Former double Ultimate champion pinpoints promise, who had a 'no result' fight against Pedro Munhoz last weekend

Former double Ultimate champion, Henry Cejudo still not convinced about the qualities of Sean O'Malley within MMA. After the last performance of 'Sugar', a 'I didn't answer' against Peter Munhoz No. UFC 276, the bantamweight icon (up to 61,2 kg.) questioned the talent of the organization's young promise and proposed a confrontation. The statement was given in an interview with 'The Triple C & Schmo Show'.

“Firstly, his performance was terrible. (…) I think he (O'Malley) believes he is better than he really is. This is a problem. (…) He trips over his own words. (…) I would eat this guy alive (in a possible confrontation), said Cejudo.

After criticism, Cejudo, who is preparing for his return to MMA after more than two years away from the sport, proposed a confrontation. According to the former bantamweight champion, the clash would end quickly.

“It would be a good warm-up fight, but the objective is to beat him in two rounds. Statistically, I'm very intelligent, more experienced. (…) I could take him down, I would do terrible things to him. I would kick that front leg and slowly put my hands on him. That’s the strategy”, he guaranteed.

Former double Ultimate champion, Cejudo has not fought since his victory against Dominick Cruz, UFC 249. After defending his title, the American announced his retirement from the sport, citing tiredness from years of dedication to martial arts.
