Serginho Moraes has a new opponent for his return to the UFC

Initially scheduled to face Zak Cummings, the jiu-jitsu black belt will face Sean Spencer

UFC 147: Silva v FranklinThe Brazilian Serginho Moraes he has a new opponent for his return to the Octagon. Coming off two consecutive victories at welterweight, the athlete from São Paulo was scheduled to face Zak Cummings. But the American suffered an injury, was banned and will be replaced by Sean Spencer. The duel continues on the TUF 18 Finale fight program, an event that takes place on November 30th, in Las Vegas.

Serginho, who has an MMA record of eight wins and two losses, was a finalist in the first edition of TUF Brasil in the middleweight category (up to 84 kg.). After being beaten in the final by Cezar Mutant, the jiu-jitsu world champion moved down to the welterweight division (up to 77 kg.) and submitted Renee Forte and Neil Magny.

In turn, Spencer has a professional record of 10 wins and two losses. In two appearances in the octagon, the American faced two Brazilians. He ended up losing to Rafael Sapo in his debut and beat Yuri Villefort in a split decision from the judges.

The fight between Serginho and Spencer will be part of the preliminary card of the TUF 18 Finale. The event, which marks the grand final of the UFC reality show, will have as its main attraction the duel for the flyweight belt, between the champion Demetrious Johnson and the challenger Joseph Benavidez.
