Ted Ehrhardt, Hendricks' manager, revealed that the fighter tried to train two days after the accident, but burns prevented him from doing so. As a result, he had to undergo treatment with a doctor specializing in burns and postpone his return to training by almost a week.

“Johny never gets angry. He just got angry because it interfered with his training,” said Ehrhardt, to the North American website MMA Fighting.
