Former champion Tyron Woodley says he would return to the UFC for a fight with Israel Adesanya

North American surprises, says he doesn't like Nigerian and reveals he could return to Ultimate to face him

Former UFC welterweight champion (up to 77kg.), Tyron woodley Consider returning to the organization, as long as you have a specific challenge. The North American revealed his desire to measure forces against Israel adesanya in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg.) and stated that he did not like the current champion, who is preparing for his fifth title defense against Jared Cannonier No. UFC 276.

“If Dana White said, 'Tyron, I want you to fight Israel adesanya' – let's move on. I don't like this box of dry b***h. We're going to fight him,” Woodley said in an interview with 'The Residency Podcast'.

A big name in the organization's welterweight history, Tyron reigned between 2016 and 2018. Fired at the beginning of 2021 by Ultimate, Woodley decided to face a new challenge and venture into boxing. In his two presentations in the sport, he ended up losing to the YouTuber Jake Paul – the last being a brutal knockout.

Israel, in turn, shares the leading role of UFC 276 next Saturday (2) with Jared Cannonier. The Nigerian has been middleweight champion since October 2019 and has never lost in the division. He now aims to defend his title for the fifth time in his career and has 22 positive results and just one negative result.
