Do Bronx tormentor at featherweight, Holloway criticizes UFC for taking the Brazilian's belt: 'They're taking away his story'

Without the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg), but at the top of the category, Charles of the Bronx gained a strong defender when it comes to losing his title after the controversy with the scales in UFC 274. Victorious in the confrontation against Do Bronx almost seven years ago, Max also built on the Brazilian's legacy in MMA. According to the Hawaiian, the decision to remove the Tupiniquim title directly interferes with the athlete's representation within the sport.

“This is the story being taken away from Oliveira (Charles)”, he concluded.

In the fateful UFC 274, From the Bronx once again showed proof of overcoming. Even though he lost the title on the eve of the fight against Gaethje, the Brazilian put on a show in the octagon and submitted the North American in the first round.
