Challenged by Ronda Rousey, Gina Carano admits interest in returning to MMA to face UFC legend

After a statement from the former Ultimate champion, who revealed that she dreams of a fight, the veteran does not rule out the possibility

One of those responsible for spreading women's MMA around the world, Gina Carano responded to an unusual challenge to Ronda Rousey. Upon learning of the UFC legend's statement, who admitted his dream of facing the veteran, the now actress revealed that she may come out of retirement to face the former Ultimate champion. The statement was made in an interview with 'FOX News'.

"Wants to know? Never let it get to me. (The fight) could happen. It could be in about six months, because I have a lot of commitments to fulfill”, said Carano, not ruling out a return to mixed martial arts.

“There is only one person who would make me come back. I've said this a few times, it's not new. The fighter is Gina Carano. (…) It's a situation of respect, nothing like: 'f*ck her'. I love her. Thank you so much, Gina, for everything you've done,” Rousey said.The Kurt Angle Show'.

Legend of women's MMA, Ronda, is now 35 years old. The athlete ended her career with a record of 14 fights, totaling 12 triumphs and two setbacks.

A former Strikeforce representative, Carano had a shorter career. Between 2006 and 2009, the North American, now 40 years old, performed eight times, triumphing on seven occasions. Her last engagement was over 10 years ago, when she ended up knocked out by Chris Cyborg in the fight for the inaugural featherweight belt.
