An unusual situation, to say the least, happened with lightweight Melvin Guillard this Wednesday (23). Guillard, who faces Ross Pearson in the co-main fight of UFC Fight Night 30 this Saturday (26), got confused and ended up voting for Pearson as the favorite for the fight, through his Twitter.

In order to encourage his followers to participate in the vote, Guillard retweeted a message that asked fans for their opinion on who will win Saturday's fight and gave the command: mark as “favorite” to elect Melvin Guillard or retweet to choose Ross Pearson. By replicating the tweet, “The Young Assassin”, as he is known, gave his vote to his rival.

PUBLICITY:

In fact, Guillard's situation was curious, as he would have had great difficulty publicizing the campaign without using the resource that also gave Pearson a vote. Even with his rival's unexpected vote, Ross Pearson remains behind in the dispute. By the end of this Thursday morning (24), English had been the choice of 102 people while North American was preferred by 128.
