Shavkat Rakhmonov gave yet another example of his talent in UFC Las Vegas 57, event held last Saturday (25). In a fight valid for the main card, the Kazakh did well and submitted Neil Magny with a guillotine in the second round. After the event, the fighter left his modesty aside, teased the North American for not being able to hold his position and celebrated his triumph with seven seconds remaining in the round.

“I had a good position. It was an interesting grip and I was confident. But, as there was little time left, I expected Neil (Magny) to make the save. Maybe, after two rounds, he didn't want to. With this grip, I only need seven or eight seconds to put someone to sleep,” Rakhmonov said in a post-event interview.

With an intense pace, Rakhmonov claimed another victim in his career, went through his biggest challenge and, now, should reach the top 10 in the welterweight division (up to 77kg.), led by the Nigerian Kamaru Usman. The Kazakh even won the 'Performance of the Night' award and took home another US$50 (around R$262 at current prices).

A professional since 2014, Rakhmonov remains unbeaten in 16 career fights, his third consecutive victory. He has eight knockouts and eight submissions, and has never reached the judges' decision.
