The most likely path for Rousimar “Toquinho” in international events, the World Series of Fighting, may be becoming tortuous. The president of the organization Ray Sefo, in an interview with the website “MMA Junkie”, stated that the signing of the Brazilian would inevitably depend on a change in behavior in relation to submissions.

“The team and I talked about this, and he (Toquinho) needs to seek some kind of help, or talk to someone, a psychiatrist or something else, that would help him stay away from hurting the other fighters. Ultimately, we don't want that. Unless he does that (changes his behavior), we won’t think about signing him anytime soon,” Sefo said.

On October 9th, in Barueri (SP), Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares submitted Mike Pierce in a fight on the main card of UFC Fight Night 29. The Brazilian, however, held on to the submission for too long and, due to his recurrence in the act, ended up being fired by Ultimate. Furthermore, Toquinho was also suspended by the Brazilian MMA Confederation.

    R. Sefo X Cro Cop

This fight has nothing! Two K-1 veterans fighting to live up to their nostalgia when they were both at their peak, I think it's a lack of option, with all due respect to these athletes from the past. It will be a monotonous, predictable, decadent fight without any performative plasticity.
