With just one fight left on his UFC contract, Nate diaz already seems to have in mind a fight against Jake Paul in boxing for his future. And, it seems, Dana White is not opposed to the idea. When asked about the matter, the Ultimate leader questioned the timing of thebad boy' and says that a fight against the YouTuber would be a good opportunity for his career.

“I like Nate (Diaz), but let's be honest: he's won one fight in the last five or six years. You have (Donald) Cerrone and Anthony Pettis – before leaving, in addition to having Nate diaz e Nick Diaz and wants to be fair to everyone. Nate diaz won't go in and fight with Kamaru Usman. We are trying to do the best we can. We are not devaluing or disrespecting anyone, but it is as if we were talking about Kamaru Usman here. We are talking about Nate diaz. Nate has won one fight in five years. He should probably go on and fight with Jake Paul. This is a fight that makes sense,” White said in an interview with 'The Mac Life'.

Nate and Jake have frequently provoked each other in recent years, but the 'bad boy' still has a contract with the UFC and, therefore, cannot negotiate a trip to boxing. Diaz has not performed since June 2021, when he lost to Leon edwards in the unanimous decision of the judges. He was considered in a duel against Khamzat Shimaev and must still say goodbye to the organization.

Fighting professionally in the noble art since 2020, Jake has fought five times so far and still doesn't know what it's like to lose in a boxing ring. The American has already beaten rapper Ali Eson Gib, former basketball player Nate Robinson, former fighter Ben Askren and the former owner of the UFC welterweight belt (up to 77,1kg). Tyron woodley, the latter on two occasions, with a knockout and a points decision.
