With a hot face, Cigano and Velasquez make weight to fight for the heavyweight belt

At the official weigh-in for the event, this Friday (18), the fighters stared at each other with their fists extended, close to their rival's face. The North American weighed 109,4 kg, while the Brazilian was a little lighter and weighed 108,9 kg.

“It's going to be a great fight for the fans and I'll give you another knockout,” said Cigano, who is trying to regain the belt after asking for the title in December 2012.

In turn, Velasquez did not fail to praise the Brazilian, but guarantees that he will not leave the fight area without the heavyweight title. “He's a tough guy and in this fight I hope to be even tougher than in the second. I hope to leave the Octagon with the belt no matter what,” he said.

The other Brazilian on the UFC 166 fight program, Gabriel Napao He also had no difficulties with the scale. The Brazilian heavyweight, wearing an exotic mustache, weighed 116,7 kg. Already his rival, Shawn Jordan weighed 115,7 kg.

The only athlete who failed to reach the limit for his category was André Fili. The North American will have two hours to cut from 67,4 kg to 66,2 kg, the maximum allowed in the rooster division (with a one pound tolerance.
