Simply merciless. Brazilian promise at middleweight (up to 83,9kg.), Gregory Robocop put on a real show ufc austin, held this Saturday (18). Opponent of Julian Marquez, the Brazilian took no notice of his rival and staged a true massacre in the octagon. Sharp in his striking, the Rondônia native achieved a positive result with a knockout in the first round.
With the victory, Robocop recovers from the controversial setback suffered against Armem Petrosyan (split decision), in February 2022. Now, the Tupiniquim resumes the climb towards the top of the division led by Israel adesanya.
Run over in ufc austin, Marquez, for the first time, suffered a knockout in his career. The stumble against Gregory also ends a run of two victories for the American.
The fight
The confrontation began with Robocop taking the initiative with a jab. The Brazilian rocked his opponent with a series of crosses followed by a straight shot. Gregory continued to have the advantage in striking and knocked his opponent down with a straight left. From above, the Tupiniquim continued to strike. Julian managed to stay on his feet, but the Brazilian continued to press. With just over two minutes left until the end of the stage, Robocop punished his opponent close to the bars. Marques staggered around the octagon and, after another straight shot, the American collapsed, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

Star in the co-main event, Kevin holland it shined again. In a new reality at welterweight (up to 77kg), the 'loudmouth' put on a real show against the veteran Tim means and extended its unbeaten run in the category. Even though he was sharp in his striking, the North American won with a submission in the second round.
With the victory, Holland reaches the mark of two positive results and one 'no contest' in the division. Thus, the fighter begins to dream of a place in the elite of the group led by Kamaru Usman.
An MMA veteran, Means' good moment ended. The 38-year-old fighter had accumulated three consecutive victories.

Known for the historic outcome in the octagon in 2020, Joaquin buckley returned to show in Ultimate. Opponent of Albert Duraev, the North American performed brilliantly and nullified the Russian's 'grappling fight', showing his usual aggressiveness. Sharp and forceful, the fighter emerged victorious with a technical knockout (medical interruption) in the second round.
With the victory, Buckley expanded the good momentum in the organization. Now, the athlete has three consecutive victories.
Surprised by the American, Duraev ended up losing his unbeaten record in the UFC. In addition to the first setback with the company's gloves, the Russian also had a run of 10 victories ended.
Ismagulov wins 'war' against Kutateladze

Representative of the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.), Damir Ismagulov went through one of the biggest challenges of his career. Promise of the division led by Charles of the Bronx, the combatant experienced a real battle against Guram Kutateladze. After three rounds of 'back and forth' confrontation, the fighter was declared the winner with a majority decision by the judges.
With the result, Ismagulov has plenty of reasons to celebrate. The triumph in ufc austin extended the athlete's undefeated streak to 19 appearances.
Overcome in the majority decision, Damir did not give his opponent an easy life. The fighter, however, had a sequence of nine positive results interrupted.
