The almost two-year partnership between Corinthians and Anderson Silva may be about to be resumed, after a hiatus in the fight against Chris Weidman – in which the Brazilian lost the middleweight belt. According to the website of Veja magazine, the club is making every effort to get the athlete to use his shield again in the rematch against Weidman, in December.

According to the publication, the renewal of the contract is a matter kept confidential by both parties, but it is already at an advanced stage. One of the factors that facilitates the new agreement is the amicable way in which the last contract between the fighter and the association was not renewed, on the eve of UFC 162.
