Bellator has scheduled an important duel between Brazilian athletes to move up the welterweight division (up to 77kg). To lead edition No. 284, in Sioux Falls (USA), the organization will have a fight between Neiman Gracie e Goiti Yamauchi, scheduled to take place on August 12th. The announcement was made by the company on its social networks.
Fourth placed in the welterweight rankings (up to 77,1kg), Neiman is trying to rebuild his path with an eye on a future title fight. The Brazilian, in his last appearance, was defeated by Logan storley – who later obtained the interim title – in the unanimous decision of the judges. Gracie, today, has a record of 11 triumphs and three setbacks in professional MMA.

Yamauchi, on the other hand, aims to confirm a good moment in his career. In his most recent fight, in April, the Japanese-Brazilian overcame Levan Chokheli with a submission in the first round and debuted in the under-77kg division. with the 'right foot'. Goiti has 27 positive results and five negative results in his career in MMA, which began in 2010.
In addition to Gracie and Yamauchi, two other Brazilian representatives will also be at the Bellator 284. Weber Almeida faces the undefeated Ilias Bulaid, while Bruna Ellen tries to score her second victory in a row and competes with former champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.
