For the third time in a row, Patricio pitbull is in the final of the Bellator featherweight GP. In the 103rd edition of the event, held this Friday (11), in Kansas, in the United States, he defeated his compatriot Fabrício Guerreiro in a unanimous decision by the judges and advanced to the final. In the decision, the Team Nogueira athlete faces Justin Wilcox, who beat Joe Taimanglo in the other bracket.
The duel between the Brazilians was quite balanced from beginning to end. Fabrício started the fight with more initiative, but with a more refined takedown game and good groundwork, Patricio managed to take down his opponent and work on top until the end of the partial.
In the second round, Fabrício came back willing to discount the difference and opened the game. However, with a more tactical game, Pitbull knew how to shorten the distance and once again work on top. In the third round, with an advantage on the judges' scorecards, the Team Nogueira athlete controlled the fight until the end to win the judges' unanimous decision (30×27, 30×27, 29×28)
More Brazil
The Bellator 103 fight program also had another Brazilian in action. Carlos Eduardo ‘Tá Danado’ debuted at the event in style. He needed just over two minutes to lock in a rear-naked choke on Wayman Carter and leave the fighting area with victory.
