South Korean erases Erick SIlva and Toquinho finishes quickly on the main card

With a big turnaround, the South Korean erases Erick

South Korean Dong Hyun Kim threw cold water on the Brazilian fans. With perfect tactics in the first round and a spectacular knockout in the second round, the Asian athlete erased the Espírito Santo Erick silva and silenced the fans present at Arena Barueri.

Right at the beginning of the fight, the Brazilian took the initiative, but ended up taken down and kept on the bottom for a good part of the first round. Erick even tried a kneebar, but to no avail.

Maldonado suffers, but beats Beltran

Fábio Maldonado had promised a massacre against Joey Beltran, but that wasn't exactly how the third fight on the main card took place. Although he clearly got the better of his opponent, the Brazilian had a difficult time in some moments of the fight. Despite this, the “Caipira de Aço” disagreed with the only judge who gave victory to Beltran on the cards. Fortunately for Maldonado, the other two referees deemed him the winner and he ended up winning via split decision.

Assunção and Dillashaw open the main card in style

At the opening of the UFC Fight Night 29 main card, Raphael Assunção e TJ Dillashaw lived up to a fight between top-10 of the bantamweight category. The fighters fought an open fight with good chances for both sides. Raphael came close to achieving a submission in the second round, while Dillashaw, in turn, managed to hit his opponent with good blows. In the end, the Brazilian won by decision shared by the judges.
