With two significant knockouts in his only fights in Ultimate, Jiri Prochazka qualified to face Glover Teixeira for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.) in edition no. 275, which takes place next Saturday (11). Confident, the Czech is already planning against whoever he wants to defend his first title.

In an interview with the North American website 'BJPenn.com', Prochazka did not sit on the fence and declared that he wants to measure strength with Jan Blachowicz. For this to happen, however, it needs to go through Glover Teixeira, while the Polish team comes from a victory over Aleksandar rakic and there is no fight scheduled.
“Yes, I think (Blachowicz next in line) is true. When I came back, I was ready for Glover (Teixeira) and Jan (Blachowicz). I didn't choose anyone, any opponent, but I talked to Jan. For me, it doesn't matter if the next fight is Jan or whoever it is,” said Prochazka.
Number two in the division rankings, Jiri has been on a meteoric rise within the organization. Hired in July 2020, the Czech hit Volkan oezdemir e Dominick reyes with two spectacular knockouts and comes in a sequence of 12 positive results in his career. A professional since 2012, Prochazka has a record of 28 triumphs, three setbacks and one draw in the sport.
