Black belt Robert Drysdale has a new date and opponent for his octagon debut. The jiu-jitsu world champion faces Cody Donavan at UFC 167, an event that takes place on November 16, in Las Vegas, in the United States. The fight will be valid in the light heavyweight division.
Drysdale, who is an American and the son of a Brazilian, is undefeated in MMA with six wins. He was scheduled to debut in the Octagon at UFC Rio 4 in August, but an injury forced him to be replaced by Francimar Bodão against Ednaldo Lula.
In turn, Donoan has a professional record of eight wins and three losses. The North American has two fights in Ultimate with one victory and one setback. In his debut, he knocked out Nick Penner in December 2012 and, in August, Cody was knocked out by Ovince St Preux.
The main fight of UFC 167 features a welterweight title fight, where the Canadian Georges St Pierre puts his reign at stake against the North American John hendricks.
