Brazilian Vinicius Spartan achieved an important victory in his career on Friday night (04). In the 102nd edition of Bellator, held in Visalia, in the United States, the Team Nogueira athlete knocked out former UFC fighter Lavar Johnson in just 23 seconds of fighting and advanced to the final of the organization's heavyweight tournament. In the decision, he will face another former UFC athlete: Frenchman Cheick Kongo.

Quick on the trigger, Spartan was not intimidated by his rival's knockout power and set out to define the fight. With a powerful right hand he knocked his rival down and forced the referee to end the fight. The result marked the Brazilian's seventh MMA victory in 10 fights. In the other semifinal, Cheick Kongo made his debut in Bellator on the right foot. The Frenchman dominated Mark Godbeer and won by technical knockout in the second round.

In the bantamweight GP, another Brazilian also did well. Rafael Morcego. He beat Anthony Leone in the grand final and secured the right to challenge the champion Dudu Dantas for the category belt.
