Debutant in UFC Las Vegas 56, held this Saturday (4), Karina Silva left a good impression in the octagon. In a Brazilian duel against Poliana Botelho, the flyweight (up to 56,7 kg.) overcame the Minas Gerais' strategy and made her high-level jiu-jitsu count. With a hand triangle in the first round, the Paraná native won the victory over her compatriot.
With the result, Karine expands her good career momentum. Revealed by 'Dana White's Contender Series', the Brazilian now has six consecutive victories.

Outperformed by Silva, Botelho ended up getting into trouble in the company. With the new stumble, the Minas Gerais team has had four setbacks in the last five commitments.
The fight
The confrontation began with the athletes exchanging kicks in the center of the octagon. Botelho made better use of the distance he touched his opponent more. Poliana's long-range attacks frustrated Karine's advances, who launched blows into the void. In the final minute, Silva hit his compatriot with an overhand right, taking the Minas Gerais native to the ground. Karine went up and threw a hand triangle on her opponent. With his position firm, Botelho had no other option but to withdraw.

He didn't even sweat. Representative of flies (up to 56,7kg.), Ode Osbourne had a gala performance on the main card. Opponent of Zarrukh Adashev, the athlete took no notice of his rival and won practically without being touched. The fighter needed seconds to achieve a knockout in the first round.
With the victory, Osbourne reaches his second positive result in a row in Ultimate. The athlete then follows the trajectory towards the top of the division led by Deiveson Figueiredo.
Hardly defeated in UFC Las Vegas 56, Adashev got complicated. Now, the fighter has four victories and four setbacks in his career in the sport.
