“Now I can drive and I’m without crutches. It's very calm, compared to the initial two or three weeks. They were horrible. I couldn't drive, walk or get anything from the fridge. It was a big problem, but I can do everything on my own. I'm not (I'm) 100%, but fine. It still hurts at night, but not as much as it did at first,” reported Ngannou on his official channel on 'YouTube'.

Francis Ngannou suffered a knee injury before the duel for the unification of the belts against Cyryl Gane, in January, and will be away from the Octagon for an indefinite period of time. In addition to the injury, the Cameroonian also has contractual issues to resolve with Ultimate and does not have a guaranteed stay.

Hired by the UFC in 2015, Ngannou had a meteoric rise in the organization and after six consecutive victories, he was placed face to face with the champion Stipe Miocic, in January of 2018.

Defeated comfortably on points, the Cameroonian returned to the gym and just over three years later, he got a new opportunity to challenge for the heavyweight belt. The 'Predator' didn't let the new chance slip away and knocked out Miocic in the second round, later defending against Cyryl Gane.

Professional since 2013, he has a record of 17 positive results – including names like Junior Gypsy, Cain Velazquez alistair overeem – and three negatives.
