Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman end the world tour to promote UFC 168 with respectful and non-controversial statements. At the last stop in São Paulo, on Monday afternoon (30), the fighters were political in their statements, but they exuded sympathy. The champion and challenger welcomed Felipe Adorno, an 11-year-old boy who has been living with cancer for five years.
Spider was the first to take Felipe to the stage, posed for photos and introduced him to Weidman. Then, with great sympathy, the North American gave the UFC belt to the boy and drew applause from the journalists. "It is a dream. I’m quite emotional”, said Felipe, who declared himself an unconditional Spider fan.
Anderson Silva meets again Chris Weidman on December 28th, in one of the most anticipated rematches in Ultimate history. The clash is the main fight of UFC 168, which takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the night's co-main event, the TUF 18 coaches Ronda Rousey e Miesha Tate face each other for the women's bantamweight belt.
