Henry Cejudo suggests Conor McGregor faces Tony Ferguson in UFC return

‘Triplo C’ says the Irish need to win and sees ‘El Cucuy’ as an accessible opponent

UFC media phenomenon, Conor McGregor is speculated in fights against Charles of the Bronx e Kamaru Usman by titles in the organization. However, for Henry Cejudo, the Irish must look for another alternative for their future. In participation in the ‘The Triple C & Schmo Show’, the former athlete suggested that he face Tony Ferguson in his comeback fight.

“I like the fight of Tony Ferguson for him. I think this fight is winnable for Conor. He cannot participate in these high-level competitions because he will get injured. I think he can face Tony and then (the UFC) give him whoever they want, whether it's lightweight or welterweight. But he needs at least one victory”, analyzed Cejudo.

McGregor, in turn, is still recovering from a broken leg against Dustin poirier. The 'Notório', however, has not won a fight since January 2020, when he knocked out Donald Cerrone in the first round. In his career, there are 28 fights, with 22 triumphs and six setbacks.

Cejudo, who is considering a return to mixed martial arts, recently set his sights on McGregor. The ‘Triple C’ criticized Conor’s training on social media and publicly argued with the Irishman. While he doesn't get a comeback, he improves the athletes' game at the gym'Fight Ready'.
