Even with Cigano's defeat, Khabib does not rule out a possible confrontation with Fedor

Widely speculated before the duel against Yorgan De Castro, the possible fight against the Russian legend is still on the cards, according to the former UFC lightweight champion

Even with the sad defeat, accompanied by an injury, suffered by Junior Gypsy in the last edition of Eagle FC, Khabib Nurmagomedov still believes that the confrontation with Fedor Emelianenko can materialize. The event organizer praised the former UFC champion's performance and stated that the duel with the 'Last Emperor' could still be on the cards.

“I think it's still viable, because, even with his defeat, Junior (Cigano) was incredible. He improved a lot. I think it's still interesting. Maybe your shoulder, as an athlete I know, when you get injured you need a few months to recover, I think if he has surgery this week, I think he needs surgery, I'm not a doctor, but I see a lot of injuries, maybe in three or four months he can start sparring again and, at the end of the year, we can have this fight. Next week, I will meet with Scott Coker (Bellator president) and we will discuss this fight,” said Khabib.
