Winner of the main fight UFC Las Vegas 55, last Saturday (21), when he defeated Holly holm in the judges' split decision, Ketlen Scallop believes he has done enough to compete for the organization's bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg).

In a press conference held after the event, Ketlen Scallop ruled out the possibility of a rematch against Irene aldana, his last tormentor, who occupies third place in the ranking, and stated that he intends to wait for the opportunity to fight for the belt against the winner of the rematch between Julianna Pena e Amanda nunes.

“I don’t think it’s necessary (rematch against Irene aldana). I just beat whoever beat her. While I wait for the dispute I will be at the gym training with my team. I wait as long as it takes. I'm next. I've already waited a long time. I've been number 2 several times. Now is my moment. I’m going to wait, go back to my gym, evolve and when my time comes I’ll be ready”, said the Amazonian.

Ketlen Scallop entered the octagon to face Holly holm as fifth place in the bantamweight ranking. This Saturday's triumph was the Brazilian's second in a row against former division champions.
