The Brazilian Anderson Silva gained an illustrious fan for his rematch against Chris Weidman. Super champion Floyd Mayweather declared support for the former champion. Spider, who has already harshly criticized boxers, including saying that he doesn't respect him, was highly praised by the highest paid athlete in the world.
Mayweather revealed that despite not following MMA closely, he will support Anderson. “I pray for him. He's cool. I have nothing negative to say about the Anderson Silva. I've seen some of his 'highest moments' videos. I don't know him personally, but I've seen moments of him struggling, and I'm hopeful that he will recover. I heard he lost recently, so I hope he recovers from that loss,” Mayweather said on the “Sway’s Universe” podcast.
The rematch between Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman, valid for the middleweight belt, will be the main attraction of UFC 168, an event that takes place on December 28th, in Las Vegas, in the United States. In the first edition of the duel, at UFC 162, in July, the North American surprised the Brazilian and knocked out the then champion by knockout in the second round.
