UFC 165, an event held last Saturday (21), left marks on Jon Jones. The light heavyweight champion was hit hard by the challenger Alexander Gustafson and came close to losing his reign in the category for the first time. Almost a week after the fight, Jones still has injuries from the battle.
On his Instagram, Jones posted a short video showing his rest after the fight. The fighter, who had his daughter on his lap, showed a movie session at home with a dessert served. “My face still isn’t very good, but it’s good to be home. Victory”, said the fighter.
Jon Jones derrotou Alexander Gustafson in the main fight of UFC 165 in a tight judges' decision (48×47, 48×47, 49×46). The result marked the American's sixth title defense, a record within the organization.
