The frustrating outcome of the duel between Jan Blachowicz e Aleksandar rakic it didn't surprise the Austrian fighter himself, who suffered the unfortunate injury. On his Instagram, the light heavyweight fighter (up to 93kg) revealed that the situation had been bothering him for some time and asked Ultimate for a rematch against the Pole.

“A great battle took place in the octagon tonight (Saturday the 14th), but unfortunately it didn't end the way Jan (Blachowicz), myself or the fans wanted. The same damn injury from three weeks ago in training camp showed up again tonight. I felt like I won both rounds, the first was close, but the second was all mine, so I started the third well before my knee gave out. Congratulations to Jan and I wish him the best. I'm going to take care of this injury and come back like you've never seen me before. This is an unfinished fight between Jan and I and I really hope the UFC gives me a rematch,” Rakic wrote.
Number three in the light heavyweight rankings, the Austrian saw his streak of two consecutive victories broken with the sad defeat he suffered against Jan Blachowicz. The 'Rocket' has an MMA record of 14 triumphs and three setbacks.
