The Brazilian Glover Teixeira had earned the right to be the next challenger for the light heavyweight belt. However, with the great performance of the Swede Alexander Gustafson before Jon Jones at UFC 165, last Saturday (21), could delay the Minas Gerais athlete's plans.

At the press conference after UFC 165, Dana White, president of the event, already announced the possibility of a rematch between Jones and Gustafsson. And despite having his title shot temporarily postponed, Glover agrees to a new fight before his title shot.

“I don’t worry about those things. They will definitely give me another fight. I don't want to wait for this rematch. That's how things are. I'm not going to say that he (Gustafsson) doesn't deserve the rematch. The fight was phenomenal. Let’s see what happens”, said Glover, in an interview with the North American channel FOX Sports 1.

Although there is still no official confirmation, rumors suggest that Teixeira will face Phil Davis, executioner of Lyoto Machida at UFC Rio 4.
