In an attempt to help Tony Ferguson, who is going through his worst moment in his career in MMA, Charles of the Bronx invited the veteran to train at 'Chute Boxe – Diego Lima', and was responded to. On social media, 'Bicho Papão' did not confirm whether he would accept the Brazilian's proposal, but made a point of showing respect to the Brazilian UFC star.

“I’m glad you listened. Great way to stay focused, Charles. Don't let your team let you fail the weight cut again, okay, friend? See you soon, kid. Be good, champion”, wrote Ferguson, on his Twitter account.

No UFC 274, Tony and Charles experienced completely opposite situations in the octagon. While the veteran suffered one of the toughest knockouts in recent years, when he was run over by Michael chandler, the Brazilian had another moment of glory, finishing Justin gaethje in the first round.

Considered one of the best lightweights in UFC history, Ferguson is experiencing real drama in his career. Former interim champion of the group, the North American has suffered four consecutive defeats, and has not won a challenge in almost three years.

Ferguson's last triumph took place in June 2019. On that occasion, the fighter won Donald Cerrone by technical knockout, via medical interruption.
