It seems like Ronda Rousey has gained a worthy competitor in the women's bantamweight category, at least in terms of “UFC muse”. According to the Russian website “Vale Tudo”, the main MMA organization on the planet signed a contract with fighter Aleksandra Albu, who also works as a model and is undefeated in her career.
Albu, just 23, has five fights and five wins as a professional – four by submission and one by knockout. In her last fight, the Russian beat compatriot Lyubov Demidova, at the “Octagon Fight Club” event, in June. “Stitch”, as she is known, has a black belt in karate and has practiced bodybuilding and weightlifting.
The UFC's signing of Aleksandra marks Russia's arrival in the organization's women's category. The country is one of the biggest breeding grounds for great athletes in combat sports and is the birthplace of one of the greatest MMA legends in all of history: the former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko.
