UFC reaches verbal agreement for fight between Dos Anjos and Fiziev for July, says website

The important duel between Rafael dos Anjos e Raphael Fiziev There is a new date to take place. The lightweights (70,3kg) must sign a contract to compete in an event that the UFC will hold on July 9th, with no location yet defined. The information was released by 'ESPN' North-American.

Former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.), Dos Anjos is on a good positive streak in Ultimate, with two consecutive victories, against Paul felder e Renato Moicano. Now, the Brazilian has a record of 31 positive results and 13 negative results in his career with the organization.

On the other hand, Fiziev had a rapid rise in the organization with five consecutive victories. The most recent performance was in December 2021, when the Kyrgyz knocked out Brad Riddell in the third round.

The fight has already been scheduled to take place on two occasions. Initially, the two fighters would face each other in February, being moved to March, when Fiziev tested positive for COVID-19 during the week of the fight and had to leave the card. Dos Anjos continued at the event and faced his compatriot Renato Moicano. After three rounds of pure 'war' in the Octagon, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) won on points.
